The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported a motor vehicle accident in Phoenix on March 28. The fatal rollover crash occurred on southbound Interstate 17 near the Loop 303 junction in north Phoenix, just before 3:00 p.m.

According to the authorities, a vehicle struck the center barrier, causing it to roll over and scatter debris across multiple lanes. The lone driver, identified as Miraslav Jovanovic, 60, of Anthem, suffered blunt force trauma and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Investigation remains ongoing into the fatal crash which also resulted in a closure that lasted for several hours. Traffic was redirected during the closure, while the northbound lanes of I-17 remained unaffected.
