According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in San Diego on Sunday. The crash happened in the 3900 block of Home Avenue at around 3:50 a.m.
According to the investigators, a 2014 Kia and a parked semi-truck were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the driver of the Kia veered to the right and struck the truck from behind.
A 60-year-old was identified as the driver of the Kia who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed at this time.
According to the deputies, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. Additional information regarding the fatal crash is not available currently.
