The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Merced County on February 3. The crash occurred approximately at 12:40 a.m. on La Grange Road.
According to the authorities, a 58-year-old man driving a 2017 Toyota Yaris North, lost control of the vehicle, swerved off the road, and toppled over multiple times. As a result, a 60-year-old passenger in the vehicle was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim remains undisclosed.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. No further information is available at the moment.
