60-year-old man injured after an auto-pedestrian collision in Allendale Township (Holland, MI)

A 60-year-old man, from Allendale, suffered injuries after getting struck by a vehicle in Allendale Township.

Officers actively responded to the area of Warner Street near 64th Avenue at 5:22 a.m. after getting reports of a man who had been chasing his loose dog. The early reports revealed that as the dog ran onto Warner Street, the man followed it.

The driver of a passing car failed to avoid hitting the man. The driver pulled over, called 911 and cared for the man until officers arrived. On arrival, paramedics transported the man to Spectrum Health with arm, shoulder and head injuries. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
