60-year-old man dead after being struck by a hit-and-run motorist in Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)

On early Thursday morning, a 60-year-old man lost his life following an auto-pedestrian accident just west of the Las Vegas Strip.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash was reported at about 12:37 a.m. in the area of Harmon Avenue and Cameron Street, close to Decatur Boulevard. The preliminary investigation indicated that the suspect car was traveling west on Harmon when it hit a man walking in a marked crosswalk at Cameron.

The car failed to stop and fled the scene without informing police. The pedestrian, identified as a 60-year-old Las Vegas man, was declared dead at the scene by the officials. Responding officers were informed that the suspect vehicle is possibly a white Sedan.

It would likely have damage to the left front headlight and windshield. Officials later reported that the suspected vehicle was found and the driver was identified. No other details are made available.

The incident remains under review.
