Hendersonville Police Department reported a pedestrian crash that took place in Sumner County on Friday. The victim of the crash is identified as  60-year-old Kerry Ellis.

Roughly at 9:30 a.m., a vehicle traveling eastbound on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard, Gallatin Pike, struck 60-year-old Kerry Ellis, who was also walking in the same lane. Ellis was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the authorities. 

It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
