A fatal crash in Vidor involving three vehicles resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left another with life-threatening injuries on Monday.
The incident occurred on Interstate 10 East, near the 861-mile marker, around 11:15 a.m.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2021 Ram 1500 traveling west in the eastbound lane collided head-on with a 2016 Ram, causing a 2023 Nissan Murano to be involved in the crash.
The driver of the 2016 Ram, identified as James Wyatt, 60, from Orange, was pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, a passenger, 53-year-old Dolores Munoz of Houston, was fatally injured.
The driver of the 2023 Nissan Murano sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to St. Elizabeth Hospital. Emergency responders acted swiftly, but unfortunately, the incident claimed two lives.
