60-Year-Old Cheryl Lowe Killed In A Hit-And-Run Accident In Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

Phoenix authorities reported a  hit-and-run accident early Wednesday morning, wherein a woman lost her life in a city neighborhood.

The collision occurred near 29th Avenue and Hazelwood Street, just south of Camelback Road.

Police responded to the scene and discovered 60-year-old Cheryl Lowe with severe injuries. Despite efforts from the Phoenix Fire crews, Lowe was pronounced dead in the fatal crash.

According to investigators,  Lowe was in the process of crossing the street when she was struck by a driver who fled the scene.

The driver remains at large as authorities work to identify and apprehend them. Individuals with information about the incident have been asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO to leave an anonymous tip.
