6-Year-Old Injured In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Monroe (Monroe, WA)

The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in Monroe on Saturday.

Snohomish County authorities responded to a rollover crash near Woods Creek Road and Yaeger Road at around 10 p.m.

A six-year-old with an injured arm as well as a 31-year-old woman were discovered by deputies.

It is unclear what caused the crash and how it happened. 

After being treated at the hospital, the child was later given to family members by Child Protective Services.

The 31-year-old lady was detained on charges of vehicular assault and drunk driving.  

She was sent to the hospital both for treatment and to gather a blood sample while the search warrant was being obtained.

The Snohomish County Jail later received her booking.
