6-year-old girl hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash in Pontiac (Pontiac, MI)

On Wednesday, a 6-year-old girl suffered injuries after getting struck by a vehicle in Pontiac.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place near Virginia Avenue and Baldwin Avenue after 4 p.m. The preliminary investigation indicated that the girl was hit by a black Hummer when she was walking with her mother, who was holding another child.

The driver of the Hummer then fled south on Baldwin. On arrival, emergency crews transported the girl to a local hospital with non-fatal injuries. The vehicle reportedly had “Natural Construction” on the side. Officers are asking for the public’s help to find the suspect. No other details are made available.

The incident remains under active review.
