The Los Angeles Fire Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Saturday.
The accident occurred at the carnival near the intersection of Trinity Street and East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at around 8 p.m.
The officials reported that a white Porsche Cayenne had driven through the carnival and there were at least six people were injured in the hit-and-run accident.
According to the police, they were trying to pull over the driver, but he did not comply. He then took off and drove right through the carnival.
All the victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, later identified as 23-year-old Steven Weems, was taken into custody on Sunday.
The present conditions and the identities of the victims have not been disclosed.
There are no other details available at the moment.
