On Saturday morning, six people received injuries after a traffic accident in north Liberty County.
As per the initial information, the bicycle crash took place in Liberty County, just northeast of Houston. The preliminary reports showed that a car struck a caravan of six bicyclists, three of whom were taken to hospitals.
The reports further revealed that six cyclists were traveling east on Hwy. 787 in north Liberty County at about 11 a.m. when they were hit by a car. Two of the cyclists were flown to an area hospital, while a third cyclist was transported to a hospital by an ambulance.
The reports also indicated that the cyclists were taking part in an annual ride from San Diego, California with the final destination being St. Augustine, Florida. No information is available regarding the identities of the bicyclists. It is not confirmed if any arrests were made.
An investigation is ongoing.
