The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a multi-vehicle accident on Friday morning. The accident occurred on Highway 31 and FM 757, between Tyler and Kilgore at around 10 a.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the collision. A grey Honda Accent was headed east in the right lane while a Dodge Ram 3500 was driving in the left lane. The Honda had slowed down to make a turn and crossed into the left lane which caused it to crash into the Dodge.
Two people present in the Honda were fatally injured and were pronounced dead. The officials have since identified the victims as 59-year-old Margaret Reavis and 49-year-old Letha Frost.
The fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. There are no other details available at this time.
