59-Year-Old Kim Barranco Killed In A Hit-And-Run Accident In Oakland (Oakland, CA)

The Oakland Police Department has released images of a white Toyota RAV4 believed to be the second vehicle involved in the fatal hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of 59-year-old Oakland resident Kim Barranco.

The fatal crash occurred on Jan. 9 in the 2400 block of San Pablo Avenue. Barranco was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban. After the initial collision, the Toyota RAV4 appears to have hit Barranco as well.

The driver of the Chevrolet fled the scene, and the vehicle was later recovered. Barranco was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The police are seeking information to identify the driver of the white Toyota RAV4.
