59-year-old Joseph Eslick succumbs to his injuries after a pedestrian crash in Pontiac (Pontiac, MI)

On Tuesday morning, authorities confirmed that 59-year-old Joseph Eslick died of injuries he suffered after being hit by a vehicle in Pontiac.

The fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place on Walton Boulevard near Price Street on Nov. 17, 2021, at 6:43 a.m. According to the investigation reports, a vehicle traveling west on Walton Boulevard being driven by a 56-year-old Rochester Hills woman struck him.

Joseph Eslick, of Pontiac, succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. Reports further added that Eslick was wearing dark clothing at that time and was not using a crosswalk when he got struck. Alcohol did not seem to be involved in the accident. No other details are available.

An investigation continues.
