Authorities identified 59-year-old George Goss who was left with critical injuries following a traffic collision Monday morning in the southeast part of the valley.
As per the initial information, officers arrived at the intersection of E. Flamingo Road and S. Mojave Road at around 10:58 a.m. after receiving reports of a bicycle accident. The preliminary reports indicated that the Toyota was traveling east on E. Flamingo approaching Mojave.
At that point of time, a bicyclist was crossing E. Flamingo in a marked crosswalk after activating the crosswalk lights. The Toyota did not stop and hit the bicyclist, identified as 59-year-old George Goss. Goss was rushed to Sunrise Hospital and is listed in critical condition. Impairment was not believed to be a factor in the accident. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
