59-year-old David S Reeves and 19-year-old Corwen E Buck injured in a crash near Kennewick (Benton City, WA)

On Wednesday, 59-year-old David S Reeves and 19-year-old Corwen E Buck were injured after a crash near Kennewick.

David S Reeves, 59, was traveling north in a Ford F150 on I-82 when a tire failed at 4 p.m. approximately three miles outside of Kennewick city limits. The vehicle overturned, ejecting Reeves and his passenger, Corwen E Buck, 19, of Benton City, from the vehicle. Reports further revealed that the vehicle rolled on Reeves after he was thrown from the vehicle.

Emergency crews initially requested a helicopter and blocked the northbound lanes so it could land. However, they managed to remove the man before it arrived. Reeves was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, where he was listed in serious condition. Buck was transported to Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick in an unknown condition. Both the victims were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.

An investigation is ongoing.
