Temple Police officers are probing a fatal crash that resulted in the death of a woman on Friday night. The incident unfolded in the 4300 block of South 31st around 7:30 p.m. when a vehicle struck the 58-year-old woman.
Bystanders administered CPR until Temple Fire & Rescue and Emergency Medical Services arrived. Despite efforts, the woman succumbed to her injuries after being transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the crash scene. The identity of the deceased woman will be withheld pending notification of her family. As investigations continue on this pedestrian accident, it is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
