58-Year-Old Shelton E. McCoy Killed In A Motor Vehicle Crash In New Philadelphia (New Philadelphia, OH)

 

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a solo motor vehicle crash claimed the life of a 58-year-old man, who was later identified as Shelton E. McCoy.

Approximately at 10:37 a.m., McCoy, driving his 2004 International 9900i northbound on I-77, Franklin Township, lost control of the vehicle, swerved off the road, struck a tree, and toppled down. Shelton E. McCoy was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
