58-year-old Joe Silva killed after a two-vehicle accident on Golden State Boulevard (Fresno, CA)

On Thursday, 58-year-old Joe Silva, from Fresno, died following a head-on collision on Golden State Boulevard.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place at the intersection of Ashlan Avenue and Golden State Boulevard. The preliminary investigation revealed that the silver pickup truck driver was involved in an earlier hit-and-run crash at Highway 41 and Highway 180. The driver traveled on Highway 180 and approached Highway 99 where he drove north at a high rate of speed. He failed to maintain control of the vehicle and went into oncoming traffic.
