The California Highway Patrol reported a multi-vehicle accident that killed a person in Santa Clarita on Saturday.
Authorities have identified the victim as 58-year-old Jaime Banuelos. The accident occurred roughly at 11:26 p.m. and involved two vehicles at Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway.
Investigators say that the two vehicles crashed into each other. As a result of the crash, one of the persons travelling in one of the vehicles was killed by injuries.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
