58-Year-Old Brenda Ann Janiszewski Jodoin Killed In A Hit-And-Run AccidentIn Abilene (Abilene, TX)

A tragedy struck in north Abilene on Friday night as a fatal crash claimed the life of a pedestrian. Emergency crews rushed to the scene on February 16 at 9:40 p.m. in the 3100 block of Pine Street following reports of a major vehicle collision.

Sadly, the pedestrian, identified as 58-year-old Brenda Ann Janiszewski Jodoin of Virginia, was pronounced dead upon police arrival. The next of kin were later notified. According to the Abilene Police Department (APD), the vehicle travelling on Pine Street struck the woman, who was in the roadway, and fled the scene without stopping.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify the vehicle and driver responsible for the hit-and-run accident. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
