58-Year-Old Albert Legarde Killed In A Pedestrian Crash In New Orleans (New Orleans, LA)

Louisiana State Police Troop C responded to a pedestrian crash that claimed a life.

The victim was identified as 58-year-old Albert Legarde, who sustained fatal injuries from the crash. 

According to the police, a 2013 Dodge Charger was traveling south on Highway 24. Legarde, who wore a black dress, was struck by the Charger in the left lane near the Stadium Driver intersection on Thursday around 8:45 p.m. 

Legarde was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver remained uninjured in the crash. 

Routine toxicology samples were obtained and sent for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
