According to the California Highway Patrol, a two-vehicle accident occurred in Butte County on Tuesday. The crash happened on Highway 99.
According to the reports, a silver Toyota and a red Toyota pickup were involved in the collision. The Toyota driver crossed the centerline and swerved to avoid the Toyota but crashed into the rear axle of the big rig’s trailer.
A 57-year-old Pang Lee was identified as the Toyota driver who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Police, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. Additional information regarding the fatal crash is not available.
