The Kyle Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident last week. The accident occurred at the 23000 block of Interstate 35 at around 5 p.m.
According to the officials, a pedestrian and a vehicle were involved in a collision. The man was walking along the frontage road when he was hit by a passing vehicle. The vehicle continued down the road, heading south towards San Marcos.
The man was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have since identified the victim as 57-year-old Lamar Shane Garwood.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
