According to the Surprise Police Department, a fatal crash was reported in Surprise.
Officials confirmed that one person died due to the multi-vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred near Bell Road and Parkview Place.
A 29-year-old driver, identified as Chalsey Brown rear-ended another vehicle.
The driver of the other car lost control and swerved towards a median.
He then struck a palm tree and was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
The driver was identified as 57-year-old Daniel Duran.
Brown continued driving and sideswiped another car.
She eventually came to a halt when she hit a tree in the median.
She was booked on various charges.
Impairment and Intoxication have been considered as factors that might have led to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation by the SPD.
