The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident in Coryell County on Thursday. The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 84 and Knowles Road at around 6:15 p.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the collision. A Dodge Ram was headed east on the highway, which was slick due to the weather. This caused the vehicle to hydroplane, cross into the westbound lanes, and crash into a Honda Civic.
The driver of the Honda Civic was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have since identified the victim as 57-year-old Donna Marie Henry. The officials have not disclosed any information regarding the occupants of the Dodge.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time.
