Authorities identified 35-year-old Megan Mchugh, from Downieville, as the victim who received injuries following an ATV crash that also claimed the life of a 56-year-old man on Wednesday morning in Downieville.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle accident took place on Highway 49 and Belle Street. According to the officials, the 56-year-old male driver died as a result of the collision while the passenger, Megan McHugh, sustained injuries.
The reports revealed that both the victims were not wearing helmets when the vehicle rolled over. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
