According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a motor vehicle crash occurred on Saturday.
The officials reported that at around 6:15 a.m., a 2019 Chevy Tahoe and a GMC pickup truck were involved in the accident. The two vehicles were reported to be driving in opposite directions when the Tahoe ended up in the GMC’s lane and crashed head-on.
The driver of the Tahoe identified as Duane Bridges,56 of Bryan was taken to the hospital.
The authorities later pronounced him dead at the hospital.
The unidentified driver of the GMC pickup truck was taken to the nearby hospital with minor injuries.
No additional information regarding why the Tahoe ended up in the wrong lane was released.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the Texas DPS at the moment.
