The Washington State Patrol reported a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 240 on Wednesday evening. The accident occurred westbound on Highway 240.

According to the troopers, Thomas Woodrich was crossing into the eastbound lanes when he crashed into a 47-year-old man, who was not harmed.  Unfortunately, Woodrich, who was from Pasco, was pronounced dead at the scene before he could be taken to a hospital.

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
