Authorities reported a motor vehicle that claimed the life of a man in Ventura County on Tuesday. According to the Ventura County Star, 55-year-old Michael Sorensen was identified as the victim.
On Tuesday, when Sorensen was riding his bicycle on Quimisa Drive, Simi Valley, failed to stop at a red light and was struck by another vehicle. Sorensen was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the vehicle that struck the bicycle is unknown.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
