55-Year-Old Mary L. Crockett Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Accident Smith County (Smith County, TX)

A tragic car crash in Smith County claimed the life of 55-year-old Mary L. Crockett on Tuesday evening. The multi-vehicle accident involving two vehicles occurred around 5:50 p.m. on State Highway 31 East at County Road 2212.

Crockett, driving north on County Road 2212, attempted to turn west on 31, colliding with another vehicle when entering the highway. Despite wearing a seatbelt, Crockett was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the fatal crash.

The occupants of the other vehicle, a 40-year-old woman, a 20-year-old woman, a 12-year-old boy, and a 1-year-old girl, sustained non-incapacitating injuries and were taken to a local hospital. Dry and clear road conditions prevailed at the time. The investigation is ongoing.
