The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Saturday morning at around 2:42 a.m.
According to the authorities, 55-year-old Manuel Dacruz from Stanwood was driving a white 2003 Chevrolet Tilt and 37-year-old Casey Jordan from Wenatchee was driving a gray 2021 Subaru Outback traveling eastbound interstate 90.
The Subaru Outback lost control and rolled just west of MP 54, resulting in the collision with Chevrolet tilt.
Dacruz was pronounced dead at the scene.
Washington State Trooper Collin Cumaravel confirmed that drugs and alcohol were a factor of this fatal crash.
Jordan was charged with DUI and vehicular homicide.
Interstate 90 was blocked for more than six hours.
Further information regarding the fatal crash is currently not available.
