The San Diego Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident involving a 55-year-old man.
The accident occurred while the victim was laying down on the east side of northbound Aragon Drive.
According to the officials, a Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 74-year-old man, struck the victim with the front side of the truck.
The victim was taken to the hospital in a serious condition. Besides his age and gender, there are no other details available regarding his identity.
It is not immediately known what the victim was doing while laying down on the road.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The officials have reported that alcohol and drugs do not seem to have played a role in the accident.
