55-year-old man in critical condition after a pedestrian crash in Pacific Beach; driver arrested (San Diego, CA)

On late Saturday night, a 55-year-old man suffered critical injuries after getting struck by a vehicle in Pacific Beach while officers arrested 24-year-old woman on suspicion of felony drunken driving.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian accident took place at the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Thomas Avenue a little before midnight. The preliminary investigation showed that the pedestrian was walking east in the north crosswalk when he got hit by a Jeep.

The Jeep was traveling north in the fast lane of Mission Boulevard when the crash happened. On arrival, emergency crews transported the man to a hospital with a fractured pelvis. The driver traveled a short distance before pulling over and being arrested. No other details are available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
