55-Year-Old Man Died After A Motor Vehicle Crash In Houston (Houston, TX)

Houston police responded to a motor vehicle crash on the East Loop that claimed a life. The crash happened on the northbound lanes of 610 at Clinton road around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday. 

According to Houston Police, a 55-year-old man stopped on the shoulder of the northbound lanes to change a flat tire in a green Honda Element. The Honda was rear-ended by a gold Toyota Avalon driven by a young woman. 

The 55-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. He is yet to be identified. 

The Avalon driver, a 26-year-old woman, was taken to an area hospital for broken bones. 

No signs of impairment were suspected during the crash. 

Additional information regarding the crash is currently unavailable. An investigation into the crash is under review.
