55-Year-Old Fred Baker Jr. Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Orange County (Orange County, TX)

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a pedestrian accident on Wednesday. The accident occurred near the 876-mile marker of Interstate 10 at around 1:40 a.m. 

According to the officials, a truck and a pedestrian were involved in a collision. A Freightliner truck tractor was headed west when it hit the pedestrian. The pedestrian had been crossing the road. 

The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have since identified the victim as 55-year-old Fred Baker Jr. 

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
