A tragic two-car collision claimed two lives in Callahan County on Saturday night. The fatal crash, on State Highway 36, involved a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Dennis Warren, 55, of Houston, TX, and a 2021 Honda Ridgeline pickup.

Warren, travelling west, veered into the oncoming lane, colliding with the eastbound Honda, driven by Cristobal Solis, 48, of Abilene, TX. Both drivers were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene. They were later identified by the officials. 

Frank Solis, 74, a passenger in the Honda, sustained incapacitating injuries from the accident and was transported to Hendrick North Medical Center in stable condition.

The investigation into the multi-vehicle accident is ongoing.
