54-year-old Victor Flores Meza and 36-year-old Jolene Terry injured after a rear-end collision near Quincy (Quincy, WA)

Authorities identified 54-year-old Victor Flores Meza and 36-year-old Jolene Terry, from Ephrata, as the victims who were injured following a rear-end collision Tuesday near Quincy.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place just after 4 p.m. on SR 28 and Adams Rd. The preliminary reports showed that a car driven by Victor Flores Meza was heading westbound on SR 28 and had just passed Adams Rd. when it struck the back of a semi attempting to turn left.

Victor’s passenger, Jolene Terry, was airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane with unspecified injuries. Victor was transported to Quincy Valley Medical Center in unknown condition. The semi-truck driver, 52-year-old Ruben Lerena, of Quincy, remained unharmed in the wreck. According to the reports, Flores Meza was following too close. Drugs and alcohol did not contribute to the collision. No further details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
