A tragic motor vehicle accident occurred in Irvine as a 54-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a fatal crash, according to the Irvine Police Department on Wednesday.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Culver and Scottsdale Drives. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the motorcyclist was heading north on Culver when he collided with a pickup truck stationary at a red light. The collision proved fatal, leaving the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
