54-Year-Old David John Mendoza II Killed In A Hit-And-Run In Monterey County (Monterey County, CA)

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is seeking information regarding a deadly hit-and-run accident that took place on Blanco Road near Cooper Road on Friday morning. According to CHP, a 54-year-old man from Marina was traveling westbound on Blanco Road west of Cooper Road when he was struck by a vehicle.

The fatal crash caused him to be ejected from his scooter. The victim, identified as David John Mendoza II by the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, was rushed to the hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries.

CHP is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. The investigation into the hit-and-run is ongoing as authorities work to bring justice to the victim.
