According to the Houston Police Department, a 53-year-old woman was attempting to cross the street when the SUV, attempting a left turn, collided with her. Surveillance video from a nearby gas station indicated that the SUV had the right of way, and the pedestrian had a stop signal.

The injured woman was transported to the hospital, while the driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. As the driver had the right-of-way and showed no signs of intoxication, no charges are expected to be filed.
