The Houston Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon. The accident occurred at 13800 Fondren Road at around 2:35 p.m.
According to the officials, a bicycle and a vehicle were involved in a collision. A bicycle was headed north on the sidewalk of Fondren Road. it had stopped at a red light at the intersection of West Orem Drive at the same time as a black Ford F-250. They both turned at the same time which caused them to crash into each other.
The bicyclist was critically injured and rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. The driver of the Ford was uninjured and was not driving under the influence.
