The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported a single-vehicle crash on Sunday.
The accident occurred on Baker Road, an area between Cedar Hill and Adams Hill, and was reported at around 6:30 p.m.
According to the officials, a man was driving his Dodge sedan when he swerved off the road and ran into an embankment.
The driver, identified as 53-year-old Donald Hester was pronounced dead at the scene.
The officials reported that the crash occurred in a remote area so there was a high possibility that the accident happened much earlier in the day and only got reported in the evening.
The cause of the fatal accident is still being investigated.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
There are no other details available at this time.
