The Yakima County Sheriff’s Deputies and Firefighters reported a motor vehicle crash in Sunnyside on Tuesday morning. The accident happened off 8300 Van Belle Road, between Washout and Cemetery Roads. 

The car was being driven at a high rate of speed when it left the road and struck the building. 

The man inside the vehicle died at the scene. The officials have identified the deceased victim to be 52-year-old Paul Arthur Garza. 

The YCSD discovered the vehicle had been stolen in Sunnyside on McClain Dr. around midnight. It’s unclear whether Garza stole the car.

The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. There are no other details available at this time.
