The San Mateo County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of a motor vehicle crash that took place in San Mateo on Friday. The victim was reported to be 52-year-old Luciano Lopez Sanchez.
According to the CHP, when Sanchez was driving north on Highway 1, his GMC Yukon struck a bicycle and another vehicle. Eventually, he crashed into a tree, flipped over multiple times and ended up in an embankment. Lopez Sanchez was killed at the moment.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
