According to the Spokane Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Wednesday morning in Spokane. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred west on E. Bigelow Gulch Road near E. Weile Avenue. A semi crossed a median and struck an Acura. As a result of this, the three occupants in the Accura were rushed to the hospital.
One of the occupants, identified as 52-year-old Livan Baez-Gomez was pronounced dead at the hospital. The present states of the other two victims have not been disclosed.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The crash continues to be investigated by the SPD.
