The Phoenix Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on March 18 in Phoenix. The crash occurred near Southern and 29th Avenues at around 7:50 a.m.
According to the authorities, 51-year-old Thomas Wilcox was driving westbound on Southern Avenue and collided with a pole near Southern and 29th Avenues. The collision did not involve any other vehicles. The victim was fatally injured and emergency responders rushed him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
