51-Year-Old Person Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Accident In Auburn (Auburn, WA)

The Washington State Patrol reported a multi-vehicle accident on Thursday. The accident occurred on the southbound lanes of State Route 167 at State Route 18 in Auburn.

According to the officials, a pickup truck was heading south on the state route when it rear-ended a motorcycle. 

The driver of the motorcycle, identified only as a 51-year-old person from Puyallup, was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck, identified as a 39-year-old Puyallup man, was arrested and charged with the death of the victim. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time.

The officials have reported that impairment is not suspected to have played a role in the fatal crash. They suspect speed, inattention, and driving too closely to be reasons for the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
