According to the Louisiana State Police, a fatal crash was reported on Friday morning in Webster Parish.
Officials confirmed that one person died due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on US Highway 371, just north of LA Highway 531.
A 2023 Chevrolet Camaro was heading northbound.
For unknown reasons, the driver exited the roadway and struck an embankment.
This caused the Chevrolet to travel through a creek and strike a tree.
The driver was identified as 57-year-old Paul Born.
Born was transported to Minden Medical Centre immediately, but succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by the LSP.
